at the Lincoln Firefighters’ Reception Hall · 241 Victory Lane in Lincoln, NE. 6 p.m. silent auction/cocktails · 6:30 mystery game begins · 7 p.m. dinner · 10 p.m. winners announced. Tickets are $75 per person. Proceeds will benefit our school and parish. The theme for the 2019 event is “Clue,” based on the Parker Brothers board game. We will be playing a “whodunit?” live action mystery game with improv actors from Farce & Foolery Productions. Come help us solve the crime. You’re the detective!

JANUARY 14-22, 2019, 9 DAYS FOR LIFE NOVENA

The Knights of Columbus invites everyone to join in 9 Days for Life which is a multi-faceted novena for the respect and protection of every human life. Each day, a different intention is accompanied by a short reflection, suggested actions, and related information. In the bulletin the

JANUARY 18-20, 2019, LECTOR/ACOLYTE MEN'S RETREAT - AT GOOD COUNSEL RETREAT HOUSE

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly announces a unique retreat for men who are lectors and acolytes, with collaboration by Fr. Eric Clark and the Knights of the Holy Eucharist, Jan. 18th-20th entitled “Discipleship at the Foot of
the Cross.” This retreat is open to all men, especially for those who are Lectors and Acolytes, or who are thinking to become one. The retreat will include practical formation on how to minister at the altar with piety and clarity.

JANUARY 20, 2019, KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP

Come test your shooting skills against basketball players of your own age and gender in the KofC Free Throw Championship. This year’s competition will be held on Sunday, January 20th in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic School Gym. Sign-in starts at 1:30 p.m. with the competition starting at 2 p.m. Participants get 15 free throws, attempting to make more shots than the competition. The event is open to all members of the community that fall between the ages of 9 and 14 as of January 1st, 2019.

JANUARY 28 - FEBRUARY 8, 2019, VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Catholic Schools Week is Jan. 27-Feb. 2, 2019. During this time each year, Spirit Catholic Radio promotes the Superstar Catholic School Contest to shine a light on Catholic education in our communities. All Catholic elementary and high schools in Nebraska and western Iowa are eligible to receive your vote for the best school. This year’s contest will run from Jan. 28th-Feb. 8th. Winning schools in each category will receive bigger and better prizes this year, including a grand prize of $1,000 of free on-air promotion! January 19th & 20th, 2018 Knight of Columbus AED Fundraiser

Saturday night January 19 and Sunday morning January 20 the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Sloppy Joe Dinner and a French Toast Breakfast! The money raised from these events will be MATCHED up to $1,500 and used to purchase an AED (Automated External Defibrillator ) machine for the School Gym and if we raise enough, one for the Church as well! There will also be a 50/50 raffle after each of the Masses (Must be Present to Win)!

“WHAT I LEARNED FROM AN EXORCIST”, ADVENT SERIES

Father Beardslee will be giving a series of 4 talks on the topic of Spiritual Warfare – about the spiritual forces of Good and Evil and how to prepare a good defense and offense against them. The series will be from 2- 3:30 p.m. on the Sun. of Advent in the School Gym.
