Please join us for the Eucharistic Procession from St. Francis of Assisi Chapel to Blessed Sacrament Church. This is one way that we give worship to the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist.

Everyone is encouraged to take part in any way they can – by walking all or part of the route, by praying for the walkers, or by helping with rides to the start or end of the procession, etc.

Parish organizations are encouraged to walk as groups in the procession. This year’s 1st Communicants are encouraged to come in their 1st Communion outfits & accompany Our Lord through the parish. Acolytes will process in their albs.

In case of rain, we will process inside both churches. Maps of the exact route will be available in the back of the church or on the parish website at www.blessedsacramentlincoln.org. AN ICE CREAM SOCIAL will follow in the Blessed Sacrament School Gym sponsored by Knights of Columbus.

June 19th, 2019 All Parish & Totus Tuus Potluck Dinner

Join us for our annual All Parish & Totus Tuus potluck that will be held in the school gym starting at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19th This is a parish sponsored potluck to give the TOTUS TUUS team an opportunity to meet our parish community and have our children attending Totus Tuus share a little of what they have been learning during their week at Totus Tuus! Please bring your favorite main entree dish and a salad, casserole, veggie/chips with dip or dessert to share and be prepared for a great time. All are invited!

June 16-21, 2019 - Totus Tuus

 

TOTALLY YOURS), a summer catechetical youth program, is being held Monday – Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The day includes catechetical instruction, daily Mass, songs, games & recess. For high school youth, the program runs Sun.-Thurs. 8-10 p.m. TOTUS TUUS combines catechesis & having FUN! The youthfulness & energy of the team is contagious, come out & join us! The cost is $20.00 per child or $45.00 per family with 3 or more children. Please note that space is limited &the deadline to register is June 14th. Pre-registration is required so enroll your children. NO WALK IN REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON OR AFTER MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2019.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TOTUS TUUS:

  • 1 Host Families to house the Totus Tuus Women during their week here at Blessed Sacrament. Host Families provide breakfast each day for the Totus Tuus Team;
  • 6 Parish Families to provide lunches for the team Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri (12:00 p.m.);
  • 5 Parish Families to host supper for the team Sat., Sun., Mon., Tues., Thurs., (6:00 p.m.);
  •  High Schoolers are appreciated to help with the classes during the day. (This is a great way to earn service hours.
  • Snack and lunch volunteers (2 persons each day between 11:00 a.m. & 1:30 pm., although you are welcome to stay all day);
  • Donations of soft drinks and snacks for the high school program;

“WHAT I LEARNED FROM AN EXORCIST”, ADVENT SERIES

Father Beardslee will be giving a series of 4 talks on the topic of Spiritual Warfare – about the spiritual forces of Good and Evil and how to prepare a good defense and offense against them. The series will be from 2- 3:30 p.m. on the Sun. of Advent in the School Gym.
