June 5-9, 2023
Theme: Salvation History
“In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son.” –Hebrews 1:1-2
The School Sisters of Christ the King of Lincoln, Nebraska, are offering a week-long catechetical program at Blessed Sacrament in Lincoln from June 5-9, 2023. The motto of the School Sisters of Christ the King, “Ut Christus Regnet”, “That Christ May Reign,” expresses their mission of extending the Kingdom of Christ on earth, through the witness of their lives and through the apostolate of Catholic Education. During this week, there will be Mass each day, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, benediction, rosary, and opportunities for confession, along with skits and classes focusing on Salvation History. Students will learn about the major covenants of the Old Testament, how God calls each of us into a covenantal relationship, and that Jesus is the new and eternal covenant. Continue to build your relationship with Christ and His Church during the summer. Come and learn more about SALVATION HISTORY during Cor Jesu Rex.
Cor Jesu Rex is open to children who have finished grades 1 – 8 and will go from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please have children dress appropriately. Students will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Return the bottom portion to Father or your CCD teacher.
